The Jefferson Matters: Main Street Tower View Team invited artists to Jefferson last Sunday for an en plain air outdoor painting event on the courthouse square.
Denice Peters, a pastel artist from Denison, was one of the artists who came. With the courthouse, the Mahanay tower, the courthouse, and the Thomas Jefferson Gardens all available, Peters chose the new planter on the north side of the square. She said she was looking for a shady place to work and that she loved the sunlight on the flowers.
The drawing from that day, and other en plain air drawings, can be found on her website, http://www.denicepeterscom
